Chapter Meetings

The chapter holds six regular meetings each year between September and June – four in the Greater Boston area and two in Connecticut. Each meeting begins with a social hour, followed by dinner (or Sunday brunch in midwinter), then a program with a speaker, panel presentation, or roundtable discussions. The Will Solimene Awards banquet alternates each spring with the New England Conference, an all-day program of workshops. Informal networking meetings or tours may also be scheduled throughout the year.

Brush up on your skills or learn new ones, meet colleagues, have a lunchtime discussion, and earn credits towards an American Medical Writers Association core or science fundamentals certificate at the New England Conference.

Networking Events

Networking lunches or dinners are hosted occasionally by New England AMWA members. Open to all AMWA members, prospective members, and guests, these events are an informal way to meet colleagues, raise work-related questions, and share tips. There is no registration fee; the only cost is the price of your lunch or dinner plus tax and tip.
