Carla Eisenstein, PharmD, is a freelance medical writer who has been an AMWA member for four years. She has a degree in chemistry from New York University and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Eisenstein has written plain language patient education material, continuing medical education, and safety narratives for clinical study reports. As a lifelong patient advocate, she is dedicated to improving the clarity of communication in healthcare settings—doctors and patients are both experts! Dr. Eisenstein enjoys performing and teaching improv comedy, which she has been doing for the past ten years.
